BIO
Wendy Lynn
Persch
Born in
Salt Lake City, Utah but spent most of her childhood in Los
Angeles, Wendy was always fond of the artful and animal side
of life.
Business
was always a focus at the Persch house. Wendy had no idea that
she would be part of that world in her future.
Growing up
in Glendora with her horse and freedom to roam the foothills Wendy
studied nature with all of the colors and shapes the world had to
offer. With the majesty of a horse by her side most of her teen
life , s he became more and more connected to the earth.
Dogs were
her other devoted companions and she never seemed to be without one.
Family
businesses were many and hectic. She felt blessed to imagine what
it would be like to be an artist while traveling to secret places on
her horse.
Since
horses were always on her mind she began sketching and memorizing
all breeds, colors and dispositions.
That was
the beginning of her art.
The family
moved back to Salt Lake when she was 15. Her horse Judy was sold.
Business
and jobs were foremost on the schedule . Then a farm was
leased for the reason that her grandfather was a dairy man and her
father knew a farm experience would enhance their lives.
Wendy was
able to have another horse, a beautiful American Saddle Bred she
named Taran. Life was all about that , along with starting oil
painting classes in High School .
She felt
natural with the brush and started painting realism, people and
horses.
As a senior
she had a piece showcased at the high school and later sold that
painting when she was 19 years old.
