“Hmmm, these look good…” |

“What do you think?” |

“Hey, my little masterpiece!” |
The
children learned to discover how simple shapes can be used to make
pictures. They also began to realize that what their teachers have
taught them in class could also be used to create pictures based on
their own ideas. After they have completed their artworks, children
were given time to articulate their artistic statements. This helped
to develop their communication skills by encouraging them to
verbalize their art making processes pertaining to how and where
they derived their art ideas.
From the IAP lesson, children were taught basic skills of
understanding art history, art aesthetic as well as art techniques
to create their artworks. Throughout the lesson, they have learned
to capitalize their personal experiences to express their artistic
thoughts which were shared and appreciated during the discussion.
Finally, they have also discovered that what they have been taught
by their teachers, could also be utilized to explore in their art
making processes. In this way, they have also learned to make sense
of their learning experiences into their creativity processes.
